What About Fixing It?

If you watched any of the Sunday morning news shows, you probably heard someone say that the main focus these days in the Obama White House is on trying to change the subject away from Obamacare.  I heard a few commentators talking about the effort by the Obamacrats to focus on immigration reform, the economy, or income inequality instead of healthcare.  The thought is that by changing the focus of attention, the White House could raise Obama's low poll numbers and regain some of its political clout.

The real truth is that the effort to change the subject is actually a major indicator of what is wrong with the Obama White House.  Think about it.  Obama's people and Obama himself are not trying to fix the problems with Obamacare.  They are not trying to get insurance for the millions of people whose policies were cancelled due to the law.  They are not trying to get the entire website up and running so that people who think they have signed up can be sure that they actually have insurance.  They are not trying to assure that the information entered on the website will no longer be easy pickings for identity thieves.  The are not trying to figure out a way to reduce the cost of insurance or healthcare in general.  They are not trying to keep doctors from retiring.  They are not doing anything to improve healthcare in America.  Instead, they are focused on politics.  They are focused on how to improve Obama's poll numbers.  They are focused on evading problems not dealing with them.  In short, Obama and his people are all talk and no action.
