They Must Not Have Had A Sign

The Taliban killed 123 people in Pakistan earlier today; most were children.  Some were burned alive.  Some were beheaded.  All in all, it was an horrific slaughter.  Supposedly, all of those who carried out the attack were killed, but the message to the Pakistanis was clear nevertheless:  the terrorists are prepared to continue fighting and killing innocents even at the cost of their own lives.
The Pakistani government (like every other government) simply does not have the resources to guard every school against this kind of attack.

Maybe the Pakistanis should follow the example of the USA.  We don't provide security for schools except in rare instances.  We do, however, have signs outside of schools in certain areas that proclaim them "gun free zones".  I guess they did not have such a sign in Pakistan.

I apologize to anyone who is offended by my joking about the futility of these signs given the context.  But really, if you are offended by that, you need to get a broader view of the world.  Civilization is confronting evil monsters.  Signs don't work.  We need to erase the monsters.
