The Senate cut off debate today on the Keystone XL Pipeline bill with a large bipartisan majority in favor of the measure authorizing construction. Imagine, roughly 20% of all the Democrats in the Senate voted for construction of Keystone even though president Obama has said he will veto the measure. After all these years of Harry Reid protecting Obama from actually having to take a position, the Democrat president will now actually have to do something other than just talk about the need for more time.
Congratulations to Congress for getting to this point. Let's hope that Obama backs down and allows construction of the pipeline and the tens of thousands of construction jobs that will come with that move.
