The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Watch for my area for Monday night and all of Tuesday. The prediction is for 1-2 feet or more. Yuck! Where's global warming when you need it?
Actually, a true blizzard is a rare thing around New York City. We get heavy snows on occasion but the wind and white-out conditions are much more rare. I wonder how many people will actually heed to warning and prepare for what is coming.
Of course, now that the alarm has been raised, we will probably have temperatures in the 40s with cloudy skies and occasional drizzle.
