Ransom, Ransom, Ransom

A few weeks ago, the media was carrying all sorts of articles explaining why that $400 million payment to Iran was not a ransom in exchange for the four American prisoner/hostages.  President Obama told us it wasn't ransom, and he wouldn't lie, right?  Okay, so he has been known to lie, but he wouldn't lie again, right?  The State Department which was trained by Hillary Clinton in her days there to only tell the truth said it wasn't ransom.  State wouldn't lie, right?  And remember all those media people who told us that it was just a settlement of an outstanding claim and that the fact that it was transferred in secret and in cash on an unmarked plane was just a coincidence.  And remember those media people who told us that the statements by one of those prisoner/hostages that the Iranians told him that he could not be released until the cash arrived were unimportant.  They also told us that the Iranian statements that the cash was a ransom were just said by the Iranians to try to embarrass president Obama.

Forget all that.  It turns out that the $400 million was a ransom.  The State Department confirmed today that the release of the prisoner/hostages was contingent on the payment of the cash.

Will there ever come a time when Obama and his people will stop telling lies?  Will these people ever recognize that they won't be able to lie about everything and just get away with it?  Will we as Americans ever say that we need honesty back in the White House?  Will we actually go through eight years of lies and replace Obama with an even bigger liar like Clinton?

Let's all hope so.
