Donald Trump gave a speech today in Detroit discussing what has happened to the American economy and what can be done to get it growing again after eight years of stagnation. Trump pointed to Detroit itself as an example of what has happened to our economy. The city used to be a primary economic engine for the entire country. Now it is a center of poverty and unemployment with fewer than half as many people as lived there fifty years ago. It's also a city that has followed all the liberal economic prescriptions that Hillary Clinton is still pushing for the nation even after they have nearly destroyed so many cities and even states. Trump said that you don't try to fix a rigged system by relying on the people who rigged it in the first place. He's right.
The current mess that we call the American economy is truly owned by Hillary and her party. After eight years in office, they have been unable to get things moving forward. Hillary's plans (to the extent she has any) are to continue the same things that Obama already tried and which have already failed. It has been said that one definition of insanity is trying the same thing again and again and expecting different results. By that definition, Hillary Clinton is clearly crazy.
