Cover Ups Don't Work

The Obama White House has been furiously spinning story after story to show that it knew nothing at all about the IRS persecution of conservative groups and individuals for the last three years.  The story keeps changing, a truth that I have addressed in other posts.  Right now, however, it is important to note that all of the effort by Obama and his minions has not worked.  They hoped that the American people would pay no attention to the matter or would think that it was just the work of a few rogue, low level IRS employees about which the White House was unaware.  This effort to confuse America has not worked; the people have seen through it.

A Fox poll out tonight found the following:

Most voters think the White House was involved in the IRS scandal in some way: 37 percent think the administration knew it was going on but didn’t initiate the policy, while another 29 percent believe the White House directed the IRS to go after those groups.

That means that two-thirds of the American people put Obama and the White House right there in the middle of this scandal where they belong.
