It Needs Repeating

Here is a direct quote from the Washington Post article on the IRS scandal and the targeting of conservative groups applying for tax exempt status.  (Remember that the Obamacrat story is that it was just a few low level rogue agents who did this.)

The WaPo, hardly an opponent of the Obama administration, quotes an unidentified employee of the IRS Cincinnati office as saying this:

“We’re not political.  We people on the local level are doing what we are supposed to do. . . . That’s why there are so many people here who are flustered. Everything comes from the top. We don’t have any authority to make those decisions without someone signing off on them. There has to be a directive.”

This is incredibly significant.  If there was a "directive" that told the IRS employees to take action against the Tea Party or other conservative groups, the scandal will grow at least ten fold in magnitude.  If the directive came from the White House or the Obama campaign, it possible could be enough to shake the administration to its foundations.  If the directive was known to the president months ago, his days in office are numbered.  While I still doubt that any connection to Obama will be found, it is seeming more and more likely that the loop that connects the action to the White House and the Obama campaign will be closed.
