Memorial Day is the time to remember all those who sacrificed for our country, particularly those who gave their lives. Right now, I want to focus back on the four men who were killed in Benghazi. These men were hit by an attack from al Qaeda and they paid the ultimate price.
It is bad enough that nothing was done to protect our people in Benghazi even though intelligence predicted that an attack was coming and multiple requests were made by the ambassador for additional security forces. It was worse that the Obama administration prevented any military forces from being sent to assist those under attack, and that we still have no adequate explanation why that order was given or even who gave the order. Worst of all, at least to me, however, is that nothing has been done to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice. It has been confirmed that the USA has 18 different men who carried out the attack under surveillance in Libya. These men are the enemies of the USA. They are not criminals who must be arrested and tried. They are soldiers in an army of terrorists arrayed against the USA. They are valid targets. They should be taken out. Instead, under Obama, we sit here and discuss the proper way to arrest these guys.
I can see it now. One of these terrorists will carry out another attack and there will be more dead Americans. The president will tell the nation that he had no knowledge of the whole matter and that no one in the White House was involved in dealing with these terrorists. We will be told that some low level employees of the Justice Department made the call not to capture or kill these enemies of America. Attorney General Holder will probably deny ever having heard of Libya, let alone these terrorists, although an order signed by Holder to stop any action against the terrorists will likely turn up thereafter.
The whole thing is a travesty. We ought to act right now if we know who these guys are and where they are. Maybe we should send each of the terrorists a membership card for Tea Party Patriots; that would probably move both Obama and Holder to have the terrorists killed.
