Lois Lerner, who tried to invoke the Fifth Amendment before Congress the other day, has been placed on paid administrative leave by the IRS. Got that? Lerner gets paid now to do nothing. This woman who obviously fears that she will go to prison for her actions at the IRS was asked to resign, but she refused. So why don't they fire her? Why should we all continue to pay her salary?
I know the answer likely is that under the required procedures, Lerner can only be fired after an appropriate hearing. I am not going to bother to research if that is the case. Truly, I do not care. I think that Lerner should get all the benefit of the doubt that she gave to the conservative and Tea Party groups. Fire her!
