Backfire of the Banalities

It has reached a fever pitch in certain segments of the media.  No, I am not talking about outrage over the misuse of the IRS to persecute conservative organizations and individuals.  Nor am I speaking about the attack by the Obama Department of Justice on reporters to frighten them into silence.  I am not even speaking of upset over the failure of the Obama administration to properly secure the consulate in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9-11 despite repeated requests from those in Libya for additional protection or the failure of Obama to send any help to the brave men and women under attack on that day.  The fever pitch right now is about the question whether or not all the attention to these scandals will backfire on Republicans.

It is a particularly offensive move by the Obama protection brigade to cast those who seek the truth as overreaching.  When they ask where president Obama was while the Ambassador and three others were being slaughtered in Benghazi, the response from the White House is that the question politicizes the tragedy and the answer is irrelevant.  Really?  Is it political to ask if Obama cared enough about the Americans in harm's way to attempt to do his job?  Are Americans entitled to know if Obama even bothered to learn the fate of the ambassador before heading off to Las Vegas for his umpteenth fund raiser?  And when Congress tries to find out how it could be that the IRS was used as the secret police of the Obama campaign both harassing and spying on Obama's opponents in order to help him with his re-election efforts, is it really overreaching?  Would any of these stooges who ask about overreaching ever raise that question if it were their confidential information that was given to political opponents?  Would any of these useful idiots even mention the possibility of overreaching if their phones were tapped by DOJ or their computers were hacked?

I realize that the Democrats need some sort of defense in all these scandals, so they have resorted to attacking the motives of the GOP.  That does not, however, justify having hacks who call themselves journalists writing article after article about whether or not the GOP has overreached.  THAT IS NOT THE STORY.

In fairness to the Congressional Democrats, some of them have realized the magnitude of what the Obama administration was doing at the IRS.  They realize that the basic liberties that we all take for granted are under attack.  Some have called for a special prosecutor.  Others have diligently tried to find out the truth.  Will we soon see the same segments of the media ask if these Democrats have overreached?

Look, the MSNBD/SOROS segment of the Democrat party is focusing on triviality.  Our basic rights as Americans are under attack, but with them it remains all politics all the time.  They need to wake up.  The storm troopers of the administration have to be stopped in their tracks.  This is no trivial matter.  We all have to pay attention.
