Whose Government is it?

Another bit of important information came out today concerning the so called IRS scandal.  Actually, that is something of an understatement; there is really important news today about the improper use of the government agencies to fight president Obama's political battles.  I am speaking of the report at NRO Online of the continuing effort by the federal government to harass the head of a Texas Tea Party group.  After the head of the group, Catherine Engelbrecht, filed to gain tax exempt status for the group and its companion group which fights voter fraud, there were audits and inquiries from multiple government agencies.  The IRS did all of the things about which we have heard already.  In addition, the FBI came to both the group and the leadership of the group repeatedly with inquiries.  ATF came twice to do sudden inspections of the small business run by Engelbrecht's husband.  That business had the capacity to make parts for guns although it did do so.  ATF had never previously audited the business during its 20 year existence, and the first audit found nothing amiss.  So, if the first audit was just random, why was there a second audit just a few months later?  OSHA also made repeated visits to that same business for surprise inspections.  No major violations were found in the inspection, but OSHA imposed the largest possible fine it could on the business.  Even the state of Texas came out to inspect in response to a complaint it received.

What does all this tell us?  Why is this so important?  The answer is simple:  the Obama White House blamed the IRS scandal on a few low level employees in the Cincinnati IRS office.  We were told that there was no White House or Obama campaign involvement.  That is now clearly exposed to be a complete lie.  The only way that the IRS, OSHA, ATF and the FBI could work together to target this one family is with coordination.  The only place that coordination could come from is the White House.

Forty years ago, Richard Nixon used the federal government to try to destroy his enemies.  After that, safeguards were put in place that were supposed to stop actions of that sort.  It seems pretty clear now, however, that Obama has gotten around those safeguards.  The end result is patently illegal; these are criminal acts.

We still have nothing that connects the president directly to these actions by the various federal agencies.  Maybe Obama (also known as president Disengaged) did not have direct involvement in this illegal scheme.  We can be sure, however, that somebody at the White House was calling the shots.  We need to know who that was.  We need to know the identity of the person at the White House who unleashed the weight of the federal government on citizens just trying to exercise their rights to free speech.  We need to know who should be bounced out of office.  We need to know who should go to prison.  We need to know!
