CNN Is Doing It Again

Last night, CNN held a "town hall" meeting between students from the Florida high school that was the site of last week's massacre and Florida's two senators.  There's a real question as to whether or not it makes sense to hold such an emotionally charged meeting, not for CNN but for the students themselves.  Nevertheless, CNN went ahead with the event.  Today, however, we learn that CNN preapproved the questions asked by the students and even WROTE THE QUESTIONS FOR THE STUDENTS!   Sure, CNN denies this, but CNN also denied that it's people passed questions ahead of time to Hillary Clinton in her debates against Bernie Sanders, something that was revealed to have actually happened when the emails were released by Wikileaks.  The Jr. ROTC student who shielded many others during the attack with a Kevlar blanket he had wanted to ask a question about using veterans to work as armed guards at schools.  CNN refused to let him ask that question and wrote a different one for him to ask.  As a result, the student didn't bother to go to the town hall.

There's nothing wrong with holding a public event to explore the issues of gun violence.  CNN ought not be presenting something as live and unscripted while actually writing questions in order to make push a particular viewpoint.

This is just another entry for CNN in the annals of FAKE NEWS.
