What was the uniform response by Democrats to today's indictment of Russian individuals and organizations for trying to interfere in the US elections in 2016? I've now seen eleven different Democrats in the House or Senate tweet or state that it's more important than ever to protect the special prosecutor from interference by the White House. Really, that's their response.
Think about how idiotic that response is. There's no indication that the White House has interfered in any way with the special prosecutor's work. Mueller comes out with this indictment which makes clear that there was no collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. In essence, Mueller confirms what the President has said all along: NO COLLUSION! Trump points that out in response to the indictments. The President and many around him compliment Mueller for his work on this indictment. And the Democrats? They're warning that we have to protect Mueller from non-existent threats and interference. What is their worry; will Trump compliment Mueller too much?
My guess is that the talking point on what to say if Mueller puts out an indictment were released weeks ago. Today's indictments should have led the Dems to change their statements, but no one seems to have distributed a new party line. The ignorance is hysterical.
