The White House Communications Director Hope Hicks announced that she was leaving today. The mainstream media is playing this as some sort of result of Hicks being questioned by a congressional panel about some part of an investigation or another. That seems like major spin. Hicks was unhappy living in DC rather than New York. She had been with President Trump since before the campaign began, starting first as a PR person for one of Ivanka's brands. I don't know, but my guess is that Hicks decided to depart when the guy she had been dating was accused of spousal abuse by his ex-wives and was then fired from the White House. It would have made being unhappy in DC into finding DC intolerable.
One thing is for certain, though. Hicks did a rather good job for President Trump. She has always been a good influence on the media in a calm and positive manner, something that at times President Trump has truly needed. We wish her well as she moves on to other things.
