The Daily Mail has unleashed a firestorm in the UK with an article detailing how the current leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, worked for the Statni Bezpecnost (the Czech Secret Police) during the 1980's. The Czechs were Soviet satellites at the time and their secret police were just an extension of the Soviet KGB. Corbyn was paid for his efforts by the Czechs according to the report.
Think what this means. A man who could conceivably be the Prime Minister of the UK after the next election sold out his country to its enemies and committed treason during the 1980's. It seems for Corbyn, the ideology was more important than his nation.
There's no surprise that Corbyn says the allegations are rubbish. The Daily Mail, however, interviewed former Czech agents who verify that Corbyn worked for them. The newspaper even produced documents which list Corbyn's name and detail meetings between Corbyn and the Czech agents.
This is big stuff.
