I just walked past a TV playing Joy Reid on MSNBC interacting with a panel denouncing Laura Ingraham for disagreeing with some NBA players. The substance of the disagreements is not important. Nor is Laura Ingraham's response to it. I just want to focus on what Reid had to say since that is what I just heard. She said that President Trump denounces individuals, so players like Lebron James have to speak out against the President. If Laura Ingraham responds with a strong statement, that's improper (according to Reid) since Laura works for a multi-billion dollar corporation and shouldn't attack other citizens. (I'm condensing what Reid said a bit.)
I know that Joy Reid is not the brightest star in the galaxy, but even she should realize how silly her comments are. Laura Ingraham works for a multi-billion dollar corporation -- but so does Joy Reid. Laura attacked someone for what they said -- but so did Reid. In other words, Reid was doing just what she said Ingraham should not do.
The truth is that both Reid and Ingraham have the right to voice their opinions about what others say and do. It's called free speech. The endless attacks by Reid on others while she pretends to be holier than thou are getting old, really old.
