Yesterday, Joe Biden said that all blacks think alike, an incredibly racist statement. Here are his exact words: "unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things."
So Biden said that Latinos are diverse with diverse attitudes unlike African Americans. In other words, he said all blacks think alike.
Because this was such a racist statement, the Biden campaign decided it better do damage control. Biden tweeted a statement (probably written by a campaign staffer) which reads: "In no way did I mean to suggest the African American community is a monolith—not by identity, not on issues, not at all."
So Biden first said all blacks think alike and then said he didn't mean to suggest that all blacks think alike. Of course, his denial came by tweet, so there couldn't be any follow up questions asking him to explain what he meant with his racist statement.
The media will no doubt let the issue drop since Joe has "explained". It doesn't matter though. Joe Biden has once again revealed that, at heart, he is a racist.
