In Chicago, the looters and rioters have hit a new low. Supposedly, the riots are "peaceful protests" against systemic racism. In reality, much of the riots are an opportunity taken by criminal elements to steal stuff out of stores, to vandalize homes and businesses for fun and to attack people. Still, there are some people who still think that these events are actually protests.
Now, someone will have to explain this: In the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago, there is a Ronald McDonald House next to a local children's hospital. For anyone who does not know, Ronald McDonald Houses are a charity set up through McDonalds across the country to provide a place for families to stay while they have children in the hospital. These facilities are mainly for poor people who cannot afford the cost of hotels or other lodging. These families get a nice place to stay for free while their sons or daughters are being treated for cancer or some other very serious diseases in the hospital. In the last two days, the rioters in Chicago attacked that Ronald McDonald House. These monsters smashed windows and doors at night while families including their healthy children were sleeping inside. The rioters stole things out of the lobby of the building. They even attempted to set the place on fire, but fortunately they were unsuccessful.
What kind of monsters attack families like this? It's beyond disgusting.
Even worse, though, is that the Chicago police did NOT come to the aid of the Ronald McDonald House and those inside. No doubt, they were told by the Mayor that to stop the attack would be racist or a violation of the "rights" of the looters and rioting thugs.
What will be next? Will the rioters move on to attacking the hospital itself? There's some pretty valuable medical equipment in the hospital that the crooks could steal.
Someone has to stop this. The Chicago mayor is doing nothing. The governor or Illinois is doing nothing. If President Trump sends in the feds, the mayor and governor, both far left Dems, will surely scream racism and provocation. It doesn't matter. The decent people in Chicago, and there are many, deserve protection from the government. The thugs in the riots deserve to be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
