Another Bad Day for Obama

I have been reporting on the daily tracking polls of job approval for president Obama.  Today, the Rasmussen numbers moved the spread by which disapproval beats approval up 2%.  Obama's disapproval numbers are now back at 53%, not a record to be sure, but still pretty bad.  The last time the numbers of people disapproving got this high was during the Syrian mess when Obama was flailing and trying to get Congress to approve an "unbelievably tiny" strike against the chemical weapons.

I do not have comparable polls on the question about who is getting the blame for the continuing shutdown, so we will have to wait for those numbers.  The key here, however, is that the intransigence of the Democrats is costing them with the American people.  At least that is the case for Obama.
