Choppy? CHOPPY??????

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said today on "Meet The Press" (or as the Obama Administration calls it "Visiting The Cheering Section") that the roll out of the Obamacare exchanges was a bit "choppy".  That bit of amazing understatement got me thinking how Lew might describe other events in history.  Here is a sample:

1.  Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans -- Lew calls it a "cloudy day".
2.  The Japanese bomb Pearl Harbot -- Lew calls it "not quite a picnic".
3.  Al Qaeda attacks on 9-11 -- Lew says "traffic is snarled in lower Manhattan".
4.  The stock market crashes after the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy in 2008 -- Lew says the markets are a "bit unsettled".
5.  The Titanic sinks in 1912 -- Lew says the "seas were a bit uneven".
6.  The black plague wipes out one-third of the European population in the 14th century -- Lew describes the event as "unfortunate".

The truth is that the Obamacare roll out has been a complete disaster.  No amount of spin or sugar coating is going to change that reality.  Right now, the Obamacrats are either in hiding (like HHS Secretary Sebelius) or lying through their teeth (like Lew).

Doesn't America deserve a president who at least tells us the truth?  I sure think so.
