Across America, there are about 14 million people who buy their own health insurance because they do not get coverage at work. NBC News is reporting now that just in California, Florida and Pennsylvania, something like 700,000 people in this group are having their coverage cancelled by their insurance company. The companies cited Obamacare as the cause. If there are this many cancellations in just these three states, one can only imagine how many are losing their coverage across the entire country.
Oh, remember the good old days when president Obama used to tell us all that if we liked our doctors and our insurance plans we could keep them? For those of you who have forgotten, here is Obama making that claim on five different occasions.
So at least a million people who bought their own insurance have lost it. Millions more were switched to part time work and lost their coverage or watched as their employers dropped insurance coverage and sent them to the exchanges (which, of course, do not work).
When will the American people stand up and tell Obama that enough is enough. The health of the America people is too important for him to play politics with it.
