When I opened my computer today, the first article I saw had a headline that announced that Republicans are planning to keep Benghazi "alive" until 2016. Unbeleivable!
This week has brought live testimony and documentary evidence that confirms without any doubt that the White House and State Department arranged to cover up the truth about the Benghazi attacks. In order to provide themselves political protection, the White House and State Department hid the facts that there had been prior warnings about terrorist activity in Benghazi and also hid that there had been repeated requests for additional security that were denied by Secretary Clinton. For political purposes, they hid the fact that the attack had been carried out by affiliates of al Qaeda. They also covered up the repeated requests for assistance from Libya and the order for rescue forces to stand down rather than to help. President Obama and Clinton lied directly to the families of the men slain in Benghazi. Clinton even told the families that we would arrest the man who made the youtube video that she falsely blamed for the deaths. (In fact, the guy who made the video remains in jail today even after these lies have been exposed.) Obama and Clinton stonewalled for month after month to coverup the truth about Benghazi.
The newly uncovered truth about Benghazi is really big stuff. It is not often that the president of the United States is caught lying for political purposes to the country about the death of one of our ambassadors or of any American for that matter. And what does the AP make of all this? Simple: Republicans are using Benghazi to attack Democrats. Are they kidding? Of course the GOP is pushing this issue. Without a doubt it will help politically, but the point is that America deserves to hear the full truth. Even today, Obama and the Obamacrats are trying to cover up the details. We deserve to know who to Susan Rice to go out and lie to America on all those news shows. Even more, we deserve to know just where president Obama was while the attacks were underway in Benghazi. Why did he ignore them? What could be more important than an attack on one of our embassies. Seriously, what is the man hiding? But does the AP ask for the truth? NO! Instead, they still push the meme that Benghazi is some sort of Republican ploy. The AP once again seems unable to separate its politics from its stories. AP = always political.
