Obama Circling the Wagons But It is Just Too Late

In an amazing move today, the White House held a briefing on Benghazi for a select group of 14 reporters that was closed to everyone else.  Then Jay Carney announced that the briefing was not off the record but rather on "deep background".  Let's translate that into English:  the White House brought its friend in the media to a closed meeting to tell them what to say in their stories about Benghazi.  The rules were that the reporters could only say that they had gotten their information from "White House sources" rather than attributing the statements to any individual.  In other words, if the lies from the White House continue as usual about Benghazi, there will not be any individual connected to them.  There will be no video of Jay Carney saying that Benghazi was long ago, so there is no point in talking about it further.  There will be no video of Valerie Jarrett calling the House witnesses disgruntled employees (which they were not).  There will be no video of Jack Lew accusing House Republicans of making all this stuff up.  Indeed, the Obamacrats will be able to say all sorts of scurrilous things on deep background that they would never say if they knew that they would be quoted.  Just think of them all saying in the future, "It wasn't me; was it you?"

The simple truth is this:  Obama and the Obamacrats have been caught in a full fledged coverup regarding Benghazi.  Instead of admitting their mistakes and trying to get the correct information out to the American people now, they are going into high gear to try to continue the coverup.  It is totally unbelievable, and it is going to hurt Obama and the Democrats in the long run.  Indeed, if the Democrats in Congress do not start now asking the hard questions, it will be clear that these people care more about their party than they do about the country.
