Is It Really Biden, Not Obama?

With all the new email coming to light that put Hillary Clinton right in the middle of creating the phony talking points used to cover up the negligence and mistakes of the Benghazi attacks, I speculated earlier today that this may indicate that president Obama and his team may have decided to throw Clinton under the proverbial bus in order to take attention away from Obama himself.  After all, Obama was missing in action from about 15 minutes after the attacks began until the next morning when they were long over.  There was no presidential leadership.  Hell, there was no presidential interest in an attack that was destroying the American consulate in Benghazi, damaging the CIA annex in that city and taking the lives of four American citizens including our ambassador to Libya.  Eight months after the attacks, it is still not public knowledge where Obama was during the evening and night of September 11th while death and destruction was raining down on our diplomatic post in Benghazi.  Thus, there is plenty of reason to think that Obama would want to deflect attention away from himself.

Now, however, a different possibility has been raised.  I have seen more than one source speculate that the email may actually have been leaked by people working for vice president Biden.  After all, the email put a big target on Clinton's back.  She arranged the lies to be told to the American people.  She is the one who stood and lied to the families of the fallen.  She is the one who denied the consulate the necessary security.  That's right, Clinton comes across as an incompetent liar, hardly the profile for a future president.  From Biden's perspective, this is a great development.  Biden, you see, has no involvement with Benghazi.  As vice president, he could not direct that any action be taken with regard to the attack.  Sure, he was available to go to the funerals that followed the attack, but he was powerless to do anything during the disaster.  While the bad news might hurt Obama, it would have no effect on Biden.  Add to this the damage that this affair does to Clinton and it seems like a big boost for Biden in his hopes to be president after 2016.

I have to add that there is nothing now other than sheer speculation that connects Biden to the release of the latest bombshells.  Further, the strategy at work if it is Biden, is relatively intelligent, so that might by itself rule out any possible involvement of the Dolt of Delaware.  We will have to wait and see.
