Obama Capitulates

I haven't seen the text of the outline agreement reached with Iran, but listening to the spokesman describe the agreement, it seems pretty clear that president Obama threw in the towel and gave up the fight.  It seems that the sanctions on Iran from Europe and the USA are being suspended.  What that means is that Iran is getting everything it ever wanted.  Sure, there are supposed limitations on what it can do with its nuclear program, but if, as expected, Iran cheats, there will be nothing left with which to pressure the Iranians.  This agreement will give Iran an easy path to nuclear weapons and it will take away all of the current costs that Teheran is incurring to follow that quest to join the nuclear club.

Without a doubt, this is the worst agreement negotiated by the USA in my lifetime.  It is even worse than the deal negotiated by Bill Clinton with North Korea under which the North Koreans agreed to stop development of nuclear weapons.  We all know that North Korea cheated and got their bomb in secret so that agreement was a total failure.  Obama's agreement with Iran, however, is worse.  At least Clinton tried to come up with a final deal that would stop a nuclear armed North Korea.  Obama guarantees a nuclear armed Iran.
