This Is Really Big

In a revelation that is shocking both because of its content and its source, the New York Times is reporting that Hillary Clinton was asked in an official Congressional inquiry about her use of a private email account in 2012 while she was still Secretary of State.  She ignored the questions from Congress and the State Department only responded after Hillary had left office.  Even then, State gave no answers.  Here's how the Times reporter puts it in the first two paragraphs of his story:

Hillary Rodham Clinton was directly asked by congressional investigators in a December 2012 letter whether she had used a private email account while serving as secretary of state, according to letters obtained by The New York Times.
But Mrs. Clinton did not reply to the letter. And when the State Department answered in March 2013, nearly two months after she left office, it ignored the question and provided no response.
This is an important bit of news.  It proves that when Hillary Clinton destroyed half of her emails because she claimed they were "private", she knew that they were the subject of a Congressional inquiry.  That makes her actions an obstruction of that investigation.  It also seems to make Hillary's actions a federal crime.  Obviously, there may be some defense to criminal charges against Hillary that could be raised.  Since Mrs. Clinton has been hiding from the media on this issue since her abortive so-called press conference at the UN a month ago, we don't know what her position is.  Maybe her criminal attorneys have told her not to speak on the issue.  Right now, however, there seems to be the basis for a full fledged criminal investigation.
Of course, since this would be a federal criminal investigation, it would require approval of the Justice Department and, most likely, president Obama.  Don't hold your breath waiting for the investigation to start.  Still, if the Obamacrats really want to get rid of Hillary, they may start cranking up the heat on her until she gets burnt.
