Yesterday, Democrats voted in West Virginia. It was never going to be a good night for Hillary Clinton. You can't promise to destroy the coal industry and then do well in WV even if you then promise billions in retraining cash. That's especially true if (like Hillary) you have no answer to the question "Retraining for what?" Nevertheless, the results of yesterday's vote were striking. Sanders beat Clinton by more than 15%, a landslide result. That's important since Sanders' views on the environment and coal are even more severe than Clinton's. The vote makes clear two things: 1) the voters of West Virginia don't like or trust Hillary, and 1) the voters of West Virginia really, really don't like or trust Hillary. Democrat voters told the networks taking the exit polls that if Hillary ends up being the candidate, they split almost evenly between her and Donald Trump. That's Democrats!
On top of the WV embarrassment, more polls are being released that show a close race for the fall. Maybe Hillary should try to get that reset button back from the Russians so she can press it herself.
