Don't Worry, Be Happy

Gallup has released its annual poll on attitudes of Americans towards the environment.  The good news is that people are significantly less worried about the environment than they were last year, continuing the trend downward on this issue.  It seems that most Americans recognize the major progress that has been made over the last 40 years in cleaning up the environment.

An even more encouraging number is that only 32% of Americans say that they worry at all about global warming, a figure which is also down from last year.  Despite the constant barrage of claims of "settled science" from the left, it seems that the truth has gotten out that the models which predict global warming are wrong.  We are now years into a period during which the global climate has deviated by so much from the predictions of the models, that those models cannot be considered valid.

The strange thing about all this is that president Obama and the EPA are in the process of imposing strict new regulations which are aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions, the gas that supposedly causes global warming.  But, if there really is no warming, on what basis are Obama and the EPA acting?  These new regulations will cost hundreds of billions of dollars and will stunt the growth of the American economy, but they will do no good.

Let's hope that these poll results cause even a true believer like Obama to take a step back and to stop the EPA from inflicting this harm on America.
