Earlier today, I wrote about the CNN piece announcing that the GOP candidates were all "floundering" and would do so unless they adopted a Democrat-lite outlook. This afternoon, a new poll came out that did head to head matchups in Minnesota. Minnesota is a significant state for the Democrats. It is the only state that has voted with the Democrats in the last ten presidential elections. It has a Democrat governor and two Democrat senators. It's delegation to the House is also has a Democrat majority. Minnesota is about as Democrat as a state gets. So what were the poll results? In head to head matchups, Hillary Clinton beat Ted Cruz by 5%, but she lost to Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina and Dr. Ben Carson by margins as high as 9%. The poll was just taken, so there is no time lag here. Even worse for Hillary, she is behind by double digits with independents against Carson, Rubio and Fiorina.
Apparently, CNN doesn't understand the meaning of the word "floundering".
