The Current Upset About Waterboarding and Donald Trump's Comments

It's supposedly big news today that Donald Trump said yesterday that he would use waterboarding on terrorist captives if he were to be president.  The media today has gone into full "uproar" mode over what Trump had to say.  It's ridiculous.

Let's go back and consider waterboarding for a moment.

1.  During the Bush administration, three captives held at Guantanamo were subjected to waterboarding.  No one was injured, and the technique is something that happens to American servicemen during training.  Nevertheless, the left went berserk and labeled the practice "torture" and we then they never stopped talking about it.

2.  When president Obama took office, he ordered that no more waterboarding be used.  Of course, by that time, it really did not matter since there were no captives to question.  Indeed, in order to avoid the problem of questioning captives and the possible use of methods he had called torture, Obama changed US policy to kill rather than capture.  Obama sent drones to blow up targets and those around them instead of catching these men.  In the perverted logic of the liberals, killing people is fine, but exposing them to possible torture is horrible and disgusting.

3.  Obama's no captives policy reached its peak when the seals took out Osama bin Laden.  That man knew all the secrets of al Qaeda.  Nevertheless, rather than capture him, the seals were ordered by Obama to shot him.

So here's the real question:  is it better to kill a terrorist or to capture him and subject him to waterboarding?  The answer is pretty clear, but don't expect the mainstream media to talk about this.
