Zach Beauchamp is another of the liberal hacks who write at Vox. Today, however, Beauchamp announced the reason for the Paris attacks by ISIS. According to this self-proclaimed expert, ISIS attacked Paris because it is losing so badly in the Middle East. You see, when our idiot-in-chief, excuse me, our president Obama announced hours before the ISIS onslaught in Paris that ISIS had been "contained", he was right according to Beauchamp. I wonder if Beauchamp had been on the Titanic if he would have applauded the captain for saying, "No problem; it's just a small hole."
It would be nice if the people writing about ISIS on sites like Vox at least had a rudimentary understanding of the facts about which they are giving opinions. ISIS has suffered some setbacks in Iraq and Syria. In both place, it has been mostly the Kurds who have driven ISIS from their lands at great cost to their fighters. The brave men in the Kurdish fighting force, the peshmerga, have taken on ISIS even though the peshmerga have only outdated World War II weapons with which to fight. America, or more particularly, Obama, has ignored please from the Kurds for help. The Kurds, however, have fought valiantly even without US help. So, despite America's refusal to help the Kurds, they have succeeded. Then we get morons like Beauchamp spouting the talking points that "we" have succeeded in containing ISIS. No, bozo, it's the Kurds who have done that. We ought to help them. They are our long time allies, but Obama just won't do it.
Nevertheless, the idea that what happened in Paris is just a desperate move by ISIS trying to do something that will keep it relevant is not only delusional, but it is also disgusting. ISIS has shown itself capable of hitting targets in many countries in six weeks with major attacks. That is not the hallmark of despair. It is the sign of a dangerous and growing terrorist group that is a real danger to both the USA and the world.
The more these moronic liberal hacks spout their talking points to try to find some excuse for the failure of Obama's leadership, the worse they make things. The USA needs to awaken to the full extent of the danger we face. We have the power to crush ISIS, but only if we use that power. It is time that we let our actions speak rather than having yet another moron promote yet another set of talking points.
