An interesting juxtaposition

Today on the Real Clear Politics website there are two articles placed next to each other. In the first, Dennis Prager writes about how the left has stopped arguing ideas and has instead reduced discussion to the identity of the speaker. In other words, arguments by white males are inherently racist or sexist, and women who are pro-life are either not really women or traitors to their sex. In the second, Frank Rich writes of the "nativist apoplexy' that is sweeping the country and is just the reaction of whites to the increase of minorities. To Rich, the Arizona immigration law is just another manifestation of inherent racism.

These two articles go very well together. In the first, Prager points out that the does not argue ideas but rather the race, sex or gender of protagonists. In the second, Rich proves Prager's point.

Wouldn't it be nice if ideas were judged on their merits rather than on the prejudices of fools like Frank Rich?
