Bias Based Policing

On CBS radio this morning, they spoke of the end of "bias based policing" in New York.  That is because the New York Police Department has ended a program in which officers keep tabs on various Moslem groups to try to learn of and prevent any Islamic terror groups from operating in the city.  CBS could just as easily called the move another step down the road of "ideologically based suicide."  The attacks in New York have been perpetrated by Islamic terrorists.  Remember 9-11?  Those were Moslems.  Remember the Times Square bomber; but for his incompetence, there could have been hundreds of deaths from his car bomb.  He too was a Moslem.  How about the various people arrested over the last 13 years for planning terror attacks in the city?  They were all Moslems.  How about the first attack in 1993 on the World Trade Center?  That was carried out by an Islamic terror group as well.  But to have the police focus their anti-terror activities on Moslems is "bias based" policing.  It is described as some sort of racism in action.  That is totally delusional thinking.

One has to wonder what would have been reported during World War II.  When American forces in Europe only attacked German troops rather than all troops equally, was that "bias based" military action?  It would make as much sense as the latest idiocy of calling this "bias based policing".
