With all the current "victory laps" being taken by president Obama regarding Obamacare, it is important to remember that much of what Obama is claiming is just not true. One of the biggest claims from Obama is that healthcare costs have virtually stopped rising due to Obamacare. That is not true. Here is how the New York Times reported the most recent figures on these costs:
The annual pace of spending growth on health care increased to 5.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013, from 1.3 percent in the first quarter. That 5.6 percent growth rate is the highest since 2004.
I quote the Times because no one would think that the newspaper would change the facts to hurt Obama. If anything, the Times goes out of its way to report news so as to help Obama. But healthcare costs are rising at the fastest rate in ten years!!!!!
