How to Reid This Situation?

For the last week, the Bureau of Land Management has been busy throwing a rancher off his land in Nevada.  The land has been used by his family since the 19th century without a break.  The BLM was killing the cattle and hauling away the bodies.  It was preventing supporters of the rancher from getting close to the site of the round up.  It was threatening those in the area with bodily harm.  In short, the government was using all of its resources to crush this little guy.  Then, last night a report came out that said that the land in question was needed as part of a large project being run by Rory Reid (son of the senator) with Harry Reid himself involved in the process.  Within less then ten hours, the feds pulled out and abandoned the effort to oust the rancher.

I do not know who is right in the dispute between the government and this rancher.  I do, however, find it amazing that after a week or more of trampling the little guy, the feds did a complete about face and pulled out and the move was timed just a few hours after the involvement of senator Reid and his family was reported in the media.  It may well be the proverbial smoking gun.

One thing is certain, if Reid or his son is involved in this mess, then the senator should resign.  He is supposed to work for the good of the public, not for the enrichment of himself and his family.  There needs to be a full investigation to find out the truth here.
