This morning, Yahoo News was highlighting an article in which the reporter discussed the recent charges from top Democrats that Republicans are motivated by racism. It was so dishonest that I actually found it funny. The article began by stating that for the last five years, Democrats had been silent on this subject and had not commented on the supposed racism of Republicans. That's strange. It seems to me that for the last five years, Democrats had tried to focus every issue on which Republicans disagreed with president Obama as being nothing more than supposedly racist Republicans who were attacking Obama in an unreasonable way.
The article then said that the new glut of attacks by Democrats was not planned but just happened at the same time by coincidence. That's right, Eric Holder, Nancy Pelosi, Steve Israels and the rest all just happened to feel the need to castigate Republicans as racists in the same week after five plus years of silence. At least that is what the article says.
The sad thing is that there are undoubtedly people out there in America who read this garbage and believe it. The true racists in America are the Democrats. After all, they are the ones who want to follow policies that will keep those who are poor from being able to get out of poverty; and they are the ones who stoke the fires of racial animosity.
