The Truth About Lies

A poll this week asked respondents whether or not they believe that president Obama lies to the public on important issues.  Fully 37% of the people said that Obama lies "most of the time."  Another 24% said Obama lies "some of the time" and 20% said that he lies "now and then."  Only 15% of respondents said that Obama does not lie to the public on important issues.

This is an extraordinary poll.  It is not just that a majority of the people say that Obama is a liar; rather it is that well over 80% of the public describe him as such.  Even Richard Nixon never got this low in the public's view with regard to his veracity.

The key point to take away from the poll results is this:  Obama's ability to sway public opinion with words has been essentially destroyed.  Actions will still matter, but words...not so much.  After all, if the American people do not believe what Obama is saying, they will not listen to what comes out of his mouth.  For a president like Obama for whom words have been the most important thing, this is a terrible state of affairs.  Of course, if Obama had not consistently lied to the American people he would not be in this state.  Right now, Obama has gained a reputation as a liar.  Or, as Obama himself might tell himself:  "if you like your reputation as an honest man, you can keep your reputation as an honest man, period!"

I believe the results say something about the Culture of truth or untruth in the USA.
YES Obama is a liar, evidence RESULTS
People in the US believe in the word RELATIVE--Ethics, Integrity, Morality. Every one else does it so the lying is RELATIVE--SAD State of a culture. Not just Obama---
