How Bad Is This? Biden is Leading the Charge?

In a scene that seems more like it came from a farce on stage than the Washington political wars, vice president Joe Biden held a briefing today for members of congress and senators in the White House Situation Room.  Imagine that!  We had senators getting detailed information from the village idiot, oh excuse me, the vice president.  I know that one of the senators was ex comedian Al Franken, but this is not funny.

Think about this.  The administration sent Kerry and Hagel as its big guns to tell Congress about the Syria plans.  When that did not go well, the Obamacrats fell back to using Biden?  Really?

President Obama can still win this vote, but he will need to come forward with a rationale why the strike is in America's national interests, a plan for the scope of the strike, a strategy for handling the aftermath of the strike and a demonstration that he actually means what he says.  This is something that a good leader could do.

So far, the Obama effort to get Congress to approve has been just terrible.  Let me put it this way:  I support the strike on Syria, but after watching the Obamacrats do their thing, I am having many second thoughts.  I KNOW why it is a good idea, but I just find it hard to believe that this group will be able to carry out the strike without screwing it up in a major way.
