The Amazingly Empty Mind

I often use Yahoo News as my go to place for idiotic left wing slanted news.  Their stories are often wrong and usually political.  Today, however, Yahoo News surprised even me with a totally idiotic story.  It appears under this headline:

'Alarming' Discovery About Wind Farms

Would you care to take a guess at what the alarming discovery is?  Here is a hint:  it is a subject that has been discussed repeatedly and which anyone who pays attention to wind energy issues would know about.  That's right:  wind farms are major killers of birds.  It seems that many birds are oblivious to the blades of the turbines that hit them in flight and fling them to their deaths on the ground.  Yahoo News points out that there may have been just under 100 eagles killed in the last five years by the wind farms.  The real point, however, is that something like half a million birds have been killed by the wind turbines during that time.

Think about this:  The federal government has no problem shutting off water to the farmers in California's Central Valley in order to preserve an endangered fish species.  Thousands of farmers lost their jobs, hundreds of millions of dollars of farm production was prevented and the entire area was put into a depression because one fish species was endangered.  On the other hand, half a million birds get slaughtered by the wind energy farms and those dead birds include many that fall within endangered species.  The government does nothing, of course.  The liberal press which normally would make a big deal about this says nothing.  And why?  Because the wind energy industry is one of those that is in favor with president Obama and the Obamacrats.  Indeed, the left is so silent about the issue that true believers like those at Yahoo News who apparently only get their information from other left wing sites, have no idea that all these birds are being slaughtered.  That is why Yahoo News calls this problem a "discovery".
