We got the news the other day that Bill Kristol's big name Republican who was going to run as a third party candidate against Trump is none other than David French of National Review. I've already pointed out that no one knows who this guy is and that most people have never even heard his name before. The funny thing is, however, that it seems that Kristol doesn't really know him either.
A youtube video has surface in which French discusses early in the primary season why he does not support Trump. The biggest reason seems to be that Trump has not been a supporter of conservative causes for many years. It's not exactly a scathing indictment. But here's the key: French says in the video that if Donald Trump wins the nomination, he will nevertheless support him.
It looks like Kristol just doesn't speak French.
