According to the acting Secretary of Defense, the government is and will be building new border wall at a rate of roughly half a mile per day over the next four months. That's a pretty quick rate, but it will still take a while for a meaningful portion of wall to be constructed.
The good thing is that in each area where the wall is built, it will act to funnel people and drugs illegally crossing the border in narrower areas so that they will be easier to detect and stop. Each time a mile of new border wall is built, that's another illegal gateway into the USA that will be blocked.
The funny thing about all this is that the Democrats and their media buddies keep arguing that the wall will have no effect. As the wall goes up, we will be able to see who is right. I'm betting on Trump.
