Beyond Slanting the News

This morning I saw a headline on Yahoo who said "Sinai group says it was target of Israeli drone".  Since the little blurb under the headline on the home page made it sound like a story about Israeli
"cooperation" with the Egyptian military, I went to read the story.  Here is what happened according to the story:

Ansar Jerusalem [a terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda] said in a statement posted on a militant website that a drone crossed into Egyptian airspace Friday and killed four fighters as they were preparing a cross-border rocket strike into Israel.

In other words, Israel managed to fire on terrorists who were in the middle of launching a rocket attack on Israel.  Either four out of five or all five terrorists were killed (the sources disagree on the number).  That is great news.  A terror attack was stopped and the perpetrators were killed.  And what does Yahoo News make the big story here?  Israeli drones fired on people in the Sinai on the Egyptian side of the border with Israel.

I know that Yahoo News has a strong left wing bias, and I know that a big chunk of the leftists around the world are anti-Israel, but this story was ridiculous.  A triumph over terrorism is portrayed as some sort of misdeed by the Israelis.  Someone at Yahoo had better try harder to understand what is happening before they publish their next "report" from the Middle  East.
