Representative James Clyburn of South Carolina went on a rant on the radio in which he compared "right wing bloggers" to Nazis. According to Democrat Clyburn, who happens to be number 3 in the Democrats' House leadership team, the right wing bloggers misrepresent things and harm people's reputations when everyday folks hear the false "news". One of the examples that Clyburn used was that these bloggers "libeled" the progressive group ACORN, leading to the group's dissolution.
Since many people would describe me as a right wing blogger, I think it important to comment on Clyburn's attacks. I have only three comments:
1. ACORN disbanded after video was released in which ACORN staffers in six different cities provided advice to potential clients on how to run a prostitution ring, how to evade taxes, how to avoid arrest for illegal activities and the like. No one libeled ACORN. The group disbanded because Congress (including the Democrats) barred any further funding to it. Clyburn is wrong and he well knows it.
2. Calling people Nazis is about as low a one can go. Again, Clyburn should and does know better. He is out there, nevertheless, peddling the big lie without any hesitation.
3. If anyone doubts why Clyburn is only the third ranking Democrat in the House, the answer is made clear by what he said. Clyburn does not rise to the level of Number 2. (and I don't mean the second ranking Democrat in the House.)

I laughed out loud at your point#3 about #2. Thanks.
