In a breakthrough of sorts, NBC News is now reporting on all the workers across the country who are having their work hours cut, losing wages, and losing benefits as a result of Obamacare. The problem is that Obamacare requires employers to give health insurance to every employee who works at least 30 hours per weeks. Not surprisingly, employers are trying to keep as many as possible employees at 29 hours or less. This outcome has been the likely result of Obamacare since the day it was passed, but what is new is that NBC is now reporting on the people affected. After years of tooting the horn for Obama and Obamacare, NBC is finally faced with many thousands if not hundreds of thousands of folks who are being put into poverty by Obamacare.
The best part of the report from NBC is that the White House was asked to comment and said that it saw no evidence of any loss of hours due to Obamacare. This comes right after a series of employers explain why they are cutting hours and a batch of employees at other places relate their tales of losing hours of work. For once, NBC is making the White House comment look as dishonest as it actually is.
Next NBC will no doubt discover people who are being let go because their employer is trying to get below the 50 employee limit. (Employers with fewer than 50 employees are not covered by the employer mandate in the law.) Once again, NBC will probably be surprised that this law for which it campaigned so clearly is causing terrible consequences to those who can least afford to deal with them.
Who knows what will come next? Maybe NBC will start covering the White House scandals honestly. Okay, that's unlikely, but hey, you never know.
