Now there is more news about the fiasco that is the Obamacare website. How many times have I written some version of that sentence. It seems that I write this something like four times per week. But now the number is going up. Earlier today I wrote about how president Obama clearly was alerted to the impending disaster with the website six month before it went live. Now there are two more bits of news:
1. In testimony before Congress today, one of the architects of the site said that about sixty percent of the site remains to be completed. That is not a mistake. SIXTY PERCENT of the site has yet to be finished. For example, the federal site has no working method to receive payments for insurance purchases according to the testimony.
2. In other testimony today, a group of four security experts including the government's own people agreed that personal data on the website is not secure. These folks gave a description of simple hacking measures that could be used to steal the personal information of everyone signing up for insurance at healthcare.gov.
Think about what this means. If a private company put out a website like the Obamacare exchange site where it sold its products, that company would be out of business by now. Further, if the website of a private company were put up with such weak security so that the personal information of users was easily being stolen, the owners of that site would probably get arrested for being part of a fraudulent scheme.
In just the last two months, president Obama and the Obamacrats have forced millions to lose their health insurance, have forced other millions to pay greatly increased premiums for worse coverage than they had previously, have put at risk the confidential information of millions more who will have no recourse against the government for doing this; and have inflicted terrible worry on millions of folks as to whether or not they would still be able to see their doctors. No one could be that incompetent. This has to be intentional. They seem to be trying to destroy America one day at a time.
