How Bad Is It?

Every day as we hear about problems with the roll out of Obamacare, I wonder just how bad things really are.  I know there have been problems with the website, but I figured that after the so-called tech surge, things were getting better.  Perhaps it was a foolish thing to do, but I started to believe the folks in Washington who were saying that things were improving week after week.  Apparently, they are not improving.

Here is the essence of an article published yesterday by a CBS station in in Charlotte, North Carolina.  CBS is reporting that in North Carolina, only one person has actually bought insurance so far on the Obamacare website.  Even that purchase is not complete since the buyer did not pay for the policy.  CBS is also reporting that the folks who tried to sign up are getting phony calls from thieves who are scamming potential insurance customers.  So the website does not work for the government and its technical experts, but the thieves have no problem getting all the information they need to run a scam.

According to government figures there are approximately one and a half million uninsured people in North Carolina.  Only one of them signed up?

This is beyond a disaster.  I really cannot think of a word bad enough to describe it.
