I just came upon an article from the ever-biased Yahoo News headlined "House GOP Slams Door on Immigration Reform". It was an amazingly dishonest report.
Here is what happened: In the House today, the Democrat floor leader asked the majority leader if the House would vote on immigration reform during the ten sessions left in 2012. Eric Cantor, the majority leader responded that there would be no vote yet. Cantor said that after seeing the Obamacare fiasco which resulted in the present chaos following passage of a bill that most members had not even read, the House was going to give each member ample time to review and consider the bills regarding immigration before voting. In the world of Yahoo News, letting people read an extremely complicated bill before voting on it and letting them then have time to consider the likely effect of the bill if passed is "slamming the door on reform".
I know that the folks at Yahoo News are best described as partisan idiots, but they are dangerous nevertheless.
