It's hard to imagine that the story of Hillary Clinton's emails could get worse, but it just did.
First of all, there is now confirmation that the FBI has been able to retrieve at least some of Hillary's supposedly "personal" emails off the computer server that had housed her personal and unsecured email system. That means that the FBI may soon find evidence that classified information was deleted from the system or that emails sent by Hillary indicate some other sort of wrongdoing.
Second, the State Department just confirmed that Hillary's long standing explanation of how she came to turn over some of her emails to the government is false. It is yet another lie by Hillary to the public, and this one is exposed by the Obama State Department, not a reporter or some participant in the "vast rightwing conspiracy" that Hillary always uses as an imaginary antagonist. According to Hillary, the State Department had asked all prior Secretaries of State for help in gathering email that might be on their personal systems, and she then agreed to help. According to the State Department, it discovered in the summer of 2014 that Hillary had used her private email system exclusively while working at State, and it demanded that she turn over those emails. That happened many months before any other former secretary was contacted.
Another lie by Hillary is nothing new, but it knocks down what had been the only consistent part of Hillary's email story. Now, the whole thing has been disclosed to be phony.
In a short time, Hillary will be appearing before Congress to testify about Benghazi. The State Department has just turned over to Congress some additional emails sent by Hillary on that very subject. Most likely the entire email mess will get a hearing again in that testimony. That means that there is no way that this story will disappear any time soon.
