Hillary Clinton's campaign says that with the end of Summer, Hillary is going to be different. She is going to show "more humor and heart" in her campaigning. This reminds me of one of president Obama's times when he "pivots to the economy". That's White House talk for "we need to change the subject so we'll try the economy again, even though we don't have any actual suggestions for what to do there either." For Hillary, this is an attempt for starting her campaign over. She already began the campaign with her book tour last year and that was a miserable failure. Then she actually rolled out her campaign, and that was a disaster. Then a few months later, she "formally" began her campaign, even though she actually had already done that. Again, the result was another disaster. Now, Hillary's poll numbers are in the toilet and the trend is even worse. So what else would the campaign do? They're trying for another new start for the campaign. Of course, the problem for the Hillary campaign can be summed up in one word: Hillary. You can't put humor in a sour and angry woman and have anyone believe it to be real. And heart? By now, most people understand that Hillary doesn't care about anything or anyone other than her own ambition to gain power. That's "heartless" not "heart", and in this instance that extra "less" is not more.
On another front, events are conspiring to ruin Hillary's new start. According to the New York Times, a new review by the intelligence services confirms that Hillary's emails contain TOP SECRET information about subjects like the North Korean nuclear forces. These are emails which anyone in the position of Secretary of State would necessarily recognize as classified information. If the Times is correct, that means that Hillary broke the law and ought to be indicted. Maybe she can keep starting her prison term over, each time with more heart and more humor.
